I am definitely one of those people who can't commit to products, I'm constantly buying new products and never finishing the old so I've been trying to buy less or just buy different products only when I hit pan. However I have found some make up products that I tend to repurchase and actually use to the end.
Primer - Maybeline Baby Face
I find this works well in hiding large pores and create a smooth base between skin care and foundation, I have found when using this my makeup sites better and I also use less foundation. However it is one of those products you either love or hate as I know many people don't see the point in primer or find silicon based primers an odd feeling on the skin, I have used primers for years both high end and high-street and although there are benefits of both. I do find that high end primers do work well however on a day to day its more practical money wise to find cheaper options.
Foundation - Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour -mixed with- Rimmel BB cream
Okay so I hate the feeling of foundation all up on my face all day, lets get real it feels kinda gross. So to make it lighter I like mixing something with a strong medium to heavy coverage and something that is light. This means i get my coverage and it doesn't feel gross all day. I only do this during the day time, if I'm going out at night i will slap on all the foundation I need. I find this combination lasts well through out at the day and it doesn't get too shiny which is great because I do get oily skin here and there. Another plus is it looks natural, is inexpensive and has an SPF 20 meaning its going to protect your skin.
Concealer - Mac Pro Longwear (NW25 - NW20)
This concealer is high coverage and lasts all day which is great if you have any spots or marks you need to cover up, however i also use it under my eyes but only very lightly as it can turn cakey. I'm still looking for the best concealer for my skin, I do like this but for the price I don't know if I like it enough to repurchase. However I do find this a great product when used lightly.
Powder - Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
And to set all of the product i've bashed in to my skin I do like a slightly heavyer powder as I do have oily skin. I find this one works well as I can use it lightly so I don't look cakey, however my make ups not going to slid down my face. I don't really have much more to add about this powder, its great and I love it. I would not advice for dry skin as it will just attract to them areas.
I will be doing a separate post for highlighting and contouring as well as my eyebrows and eyes.
