Faking Up For Summer - Fake Tan Reviews

Hey guys,

I have tried gradual tanner a couple times to get some sort of summer glow but never full on fake tan, I've also never had a spray tan or used tanning beds. So pretty much the only time I'm ever tanned is when I go on holiday which is just sad! I feel like I'm defiantly missing out on this whole sun kissed appeal and I finally bit the bullet and picked up a couple different self tans from Boots to see if I like any at all. And well pray I don't botch it up to much. (side note, I tend to tan naturally with an orange undertone and generally tan well abroad, My Parent are original from Portugal and The Philippines so I have a very mixed skin tone therefore finding a good natural looking colour was a little more mixed for me.)

I tried picked a variation of different types of tanner considering I have only really used a cream style I didn't know if I would prefer a different type. The idea of a spray can completely confused me and i didn't want to look like an orange graffiti piece of work so I opted for gel, cream and moose.

The Gradual Tanner - I find this one does work well however I can only apply it every other day as its a little to strong for my skin tone and it turns me ORANGE which is never what you want. I may of need the lighter formula for my skin tone, it does moisturise well although there is a slight hint of shimmer which means if you don't like it steer clear. Overall thought it creates a nice natural tan when used properly. 6/10

The Gel - This is by far my favourite, you are meant to get the full effect after the third day of application and does take time to develop, it is best to apply this the night before you want any sort of effect. I find this the fastest drying and easiest to blend, I have had no problems with streaking however this does wash off fairly quickly if it has not had time to develop. This means you can get patchy if you are not careful which was defiantly me (right on my neck haha). 9/10

The Moose - This is the most fast effective however this has brought many problems for the applications it is so much easier to mess up. You 100% need a glove to put this one on and maybe more than one coat if you want a completely sun kissed appearance straight after use, this also needs a few hours to develop as well. I actually find I prefer this on my skin on the second day as it has developed properly and after a shower and some lotion it looks very natural. (Just be careful for CREASES) 8/10

I have been using may of these in a mixture of them all, and I find the gel and mouse work well taught and the lotion as a top off to it all.

Hey guys,

So this is my weekly Tumblr outfit posts, you can find my Tumblr linked in the side description bar this outfit is very much a powder pink and blue retro style with a hint of bright reds. Ive gone for a mixture of the 50's with a little more of a modern vibe, I'm in love with the Topman bomber jacket, its got a very borrowed of the boyfriend fit. I also had to include the Moschino McDonalds bag which has to be one of my favourites from that season for accessories.

This weeks Tumblr favourites is the retro diner vibe of the 50's:

OOTD - Carpet Shirt

Hey guys,
So this is just a mini outfit of the day post and I'm thinking about doing these more regularly as I tend to find looking for clothes that I like and fit me, difficult. I can range from 3 different sizes and I recently saw a # surrounding twitter called #PulsSizePlease which is something I'm defiantly all for as even topshop one of the largest highstreet retailer don't even offer a size 18 which I see as a in the regular size range. I personally find that ridiculous. Anyway if you are interested in more personal fashions do tell. This outfit is simple and not much to it but its quick and easy for summer. The shirt is vintage and kinda looks like a carpet print but I love it, ugly and just loud shirts are my favourite and my collection is growing.

Outfit Of The Day:
Skirt - ASOS
Top - Primark
Shirt - Harper and Lewis, a vintage store

Outfit inspiration - That 70s Show

Hey guys,

So I recently binge watched all of That 70s show on Netflix, its all on there an such a good series. My personal favourite characters were Jackie and Hyde, I know so many people have seen the series before and I could not have not started it at a better time,  the recent 70s vibe thats hit all of the stores.  I absolutely love some of the pieces so I have created an outfit inspired by the show and I hope you like it.

I have gone for a complete mixtures of fabrics and cuts but the colours being it all together and the top from Motel Rocks is my favourite defiantly look online to see it on the model, it does it so much more justice.

Regal Rose Wish List

Hey guys,

I've really been craving new jewellery recently and I'm trying to save so I made a wish list instead. Its not the same as shopping but it will do for now, this is purely off Regal Rose which is an online based company. All links for jewellery will be linked below. So i've been really loving the look of headpieces and rings for your hair and Regal Rose sell great alternative jewellery. I basically want everything gold and crescent shaped on the website and gold just looks so good with a summer tan.

Make-up Favourites

Hey guys,

I want to start doing mini favourites list, showing combinations or just a small list of things i'm currently obsessing over. Although I don't just want to put things up for the sake of it, just when I actually find things i'm loving.

May's favorites:
Carmex (purely because it is amazing nothing futher)
Master sculpt
Illegal length mascara
Falsies volume express mascara
Mac lipstick- Blanktey and Yash
Eco tools eye enhancing duo brush

Master sculpt is by Maybelline, when I first tried this contour and highlighter duo I found it slightly annoying that the highlighter and contour powder touches as I wanted to keep the simmer out of the contour colour. However I have not found a major problem with this and the highlighter is finely milled meaning it has an extremely nice natural look. The contour powder has the same effect however it is not as long lasting but that perhaps maybe due to my oily skin. Otherwise that it a great every day product.

So the first image is off Illegal Length by Maybelline and has fibres within the mascara meaning it adds a lot of length meaning its lacking on the volume department. It is also impossible for me to find it in the waterproof version which is what I look for in a mascara as my eyes tend to water. Therefore I have found a dream combination of adding Falsies Volume Express as a coat on top which works really well as it adds a lot of volume and the combination really works.

So this is Mac lipstick Blankety and Yash, they both look extremely similar in the picture so I really do advise looking on the Mac website as they are such a pretty combination and really good for everyday and just as a nude combination. Honestly it doesn't look like much but have a look at them in store they are the perfect mix of pink and peach to make a everyday lipstick.

And finally Eco Tools Eye Enhancing Duo Make-up Brushes they are such high quality and I don't think Eco Tools get enough attention and they really should. They are soft and don't shed as well the duo use allow it to work well for make-up bags and travel. I particular have found the angled brush for my eyebrows as it isn't to thick meaning you can create small details.

Trend Wish list - Asos Edition

Hey guys,

I have been loving this whole mid 60's and 70's trends that has been appearing of crochet dresses, but it can be hard finding ones that cover enough flesh if you want to wear them day to day and not on holiday. So I have been looking through Asos for all of there best crochet dresses that cover all of the bumps you don't really want to show. Here are my top six of the trend.

Asos's favorite six:

The dresses:

  • The first can be found here this one is perfect if your looking for a longs sleeve option but you don't want to be completely covered.
  • The second shows a little more and is originally for Missguided, but the v neck cut always looks flattering. You can find it here
  • The third has a cute cold shoulder cut and a simple silhouette. Here
  • The forth is defiantly my favourite and has a a very relaxed but well dressed appearance and is featured here and is avalible in the petite range meaning its great if you'er short like me.
  • The fifth purely just remind me of Ivy from 90201 and thats why I love it, beach wear. Here
  • And finally the more fancy one of the bunch more of a comfy dinner date dress, here

Uni Junk - Promotion

Hey guys,

So I have finished my first year of uni and I've done so much and learnt a lot so I thought I'd show you a couple of pieces I've created. I do things from promotion, marketing, fashion styling to trend forecasting.

These images are from a promotion project where we had to pick a brand and create various things like launch parties ect. I picked Regal Rose and created the idea of a seven deadly sins concept. So I also had to create a trend for the project which I called pulse and then had to create styled pieces of photography as a launch image.

The trend
Created on Adobe illustrator

Gluttony

Edited on Adobe Photoshop

I really liked the way they all came out and I personally think it worked well with Regal Rose as a brand.

Weekly Tumblr Favourites - White Edition

Hey guys,

So I personally have a very monochrome style, I just love the classic look off the way its fits me. And as usual I'm taking some of my weekly reblogs on Tumblr and creating an outfit from them. You can find my Tumblr here

White and Green

So I really like the mixture of textures and the slight hints of green throughout so this is the outfit I have created for it and I hope you like the mixtures of the different types of white based fabric that allow the colours to be broken up creating a less overwhelming look the the outfit. All clothing is linked below.

Adore Delano

Hey guys,

So I have been obsessed with RuPaul's Drag Race recently on Netflix, It is basically America's next top model but for drag queens and so much better. It is hilarious and the art behind drag queens is amazing. I have so many favourite queens from the shows like Sharon Needles, Jinkx Monsoon, Alaska Thunderfuck, Raven, Jujubee the list is endless. But by far my favourite season has been 6 and I was in love with all of the finalists.
No Tea No Shade.

Adore Delano is like my animal spirit or something I love her she is amazing and I just wanted to do a blog post showing off her make up, it is to die for and I just had to share some of my favourite picture of her. So if you haven't seen RuPaul's Drag Race defiantly do. And watch this and you will love her for ever xxx

' I'm polish remover bitch '

The key to her look is dramatic eyes and sometimes a dark lip, i personally love the flawless skin appearance. She really give all eyes and it works so well my favourite look has to be the bottom right image, almost punk princess festival perfection.

So this is just a mini blog post on a small love I've been having at the moment and there will be more posts soon.
