My Mac eye shadow collection

Hey , So I thought I would show you my  Mac eye shadow collection as if your like me and just starting to build up you collection well you may feel a little overwhelmed with all the choices you have so I am going to tell you my favourites and what I use them for.

The frost from left to right- Ricepaper, Satin Taupe, Naked Lunch

The frosts from left to right- Amber lights, Sable

From to right- Mulch (finish-velvet), Brun (finish-satin), Woodwinked (finish satin)

The matte's from left to right- Kid, Quarry, Handwritten
My favourites and what I use them for:
  • Naked lunch- It a perfect pinky toned base for an eye shadow look which is why it is my favourite, its also great for a brow highlight that is not to shimmery and bold.
  • Ricepaper- This is an great alternative base that is an almost pale yellow/gold tone. This is my alternative for a combination of gold shadows and eye look. And again works well as a brow highlight
  • Mulch- Is definitely a must have to me and one that i have used the most. It helps create a smoky look  which can be used with others but also look amazing by its self bended all over the lid and under the eye.
  • Handwritten-  This is a great matt dark brown for the crease as it is warmed toned therefore works well with my skin tone and i find complement brown eyes well.
  • Woodwinked- Is similar to Mulch in the way I use it however the reason I love it is because i fined it is the best gold tone for my skin tone. This is because I find it isn't too bright like other gold shadows which I can find to much for everyday use, however Woodwinked works well everyday.

Outfit inspiration: 'Friends' Phoebe

So lately I have been struggling with new fashion and outfit inspiration, so I have decided to take inspiration from anywhere so the first place I choose was an TV show, Friends. I absolutely love Friends and I recently purchased the first season which was released in the 1990's so the fashion was obviously very different and my posts are going to be based on that time period.

So I have created this outfit inspired by Phoebe. She is definitely the most different and out there quirky outfits and she is personally my favourite she often layers many pieces and textures and as it was the 90's denim was very popular. She is also a fan of loud patterns in her wardrobe. so here are my picks for a 90's hippy style:

My picks:

Necklace- Regal rose here
Bag- ASOShere
Denim dress- ASOShere
Crop top- Topshophere
Kimono- Boohoohere

So as you can see I have chosen an denim base to set off the outfit and then underneath to layer and add an second texture i have paired it with a knitted white crop top. This then would work well with the stone style long necklace which has a very natural hippy vibe which is very Phoebe, this along with all the fringeing of the other items adds movement and textures. the patterned jacket sets the final tone as it is colourful and fun.
